SURPRISES AND DISBELIEFS

I will give you a illustration...

In a reality show of a TV station called “MINTA TOLONGGGG” (sure you know it), a poor woman already helped a child that sell something. After she did it, an unknown person came to her and gave her a lot of money. Sure! she got a very “surprise!!!!!!” and said something kind of  “disbeliefs” .
Yeahhh kind of like this ..

·        Surprise or disbeliefs is an expression that we show/say when know/hear/see something that rather difficult to believe.

To express surprise or disbelief:
·         What a surprise! That’s a surprise!
·         (Well), that’s very surprising!
·         Really?
·         What?
·         Are you serious? You must be joking!
·         You’re kidding!
·         Fancy that!
·         I must say … surprises me.
·         I find that hard to believe.

·         Example :
Dina : " Look! I got! "
Lia   : " That`s very surprising "
Dina : " I don`t know why "
Lia   : " Perhaps you did the wrong number "

·         When get a surprising fact, you can say those to tell other people :
Do you know what ?
Believe it or not ?
You may not believe it, but ...
Can you believe it ?

You can respond to the surprising fact using these expressions:
·       Really?
·       Are you joking?
·       Oh?
·       Where? Show me.

·         There are some ways to express surprise :
Never !
Oh, no!
No, is, i don`t believe it !
You`re kidding
What a surprise
Good heavens
My goodness

What do you do if you want to make someone happy of you. Or if you wan to get something from your parents? Yups! You give them a compliment, right??

·         Compliment is an expression that we show or say to express/give praise. Some people use compliments to “butter up” somebody or to flatter in order to increase good will.

You  can give compliment to someone at this following condition:

·         I really must express my admiration for your dance.
·         Good grades!
·         Excellent!
·         Nice work!
·         Good  job!
To response them you can use such as a “gratitude” as follow:
·         Thank you.
·         Really ?
·         I will.
·         Thanks a lot. Etc.

Third.
You can say “congratulation” to your friend after he/she got success of something. Or you may get a lot of “congratulation” at your birthday.

·         Congratulation is an expression that we use to give the congratulation utterance when he/she succeeds in doing something.
Congratulating

·         Congratulations on your success!
