GAINING ATTENTION

Have you ever seen such as picture above? I think no haha.  Because if you want to pick your friend or family up at airport, you usually write down their name, not your own name :D But the picture above is include to GAINING ATTENTION.

Gaining attention is attitude to show or ask attention from the other people
o  The purpose is to find attention so that the other people pay attention
o    To gain attention, we may use the expressions as follow:
-          Attention please!
-          May I have your attention, please?
-          Excuse me
-          Look at me
-          Listen to me, please
-          Waiter/waitress!
o   To show affection or give attention to somebody we can use:
-          Are you alright/O.K.?
-          What’s wrong with you?
-          Do you?
-          Are you?
-          Did he/she?
-          Nice dress.
-          Is that it?

o   The examples of conversation:

Rani : Listen to me, please (gaining attention)
Rina : Yes, what happened Ran? I’m ready to hear now (giving attention)
Rani : I saw Seno took your money in your bag!
Rina : Oh My God! Incredible!

Teacher : Attention please! Today we will watch a movie in the
Self Access Center. What do you think?
